Application
To prevent delamination when machining fibre composites and to achieve an optimal edge finish, the left-hand spiral generates pressure on the bottom edge of the workpiece at the bottom of the tool, while the right-hand spiral generates counter pressure on the top of the workpiece at the top of the tool. To prevent melting, a greatly positive cutting angle and deep chipping spaces work against over-heating.
